William Maxime Nicolle


It is with sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Maxime Nicolle, 82, at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, July 9, 2017. Born in Moncton in 1935, he was predeceased by his parents, William and Philomene (Mina) (Arsenault) Nicolle; his first wife, Edith Mansfield; daughter, Linda; brother-in-law, Melvin Hay and sister-in-law, Brenda Nicolle. Bill served 7 years in the Armed Forces in the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery. Before retiring, Bill worked the last thirty years as a Millwright with Jacobs at Suncore in Fort McMurray. In 2007, Bill and Dona moved to Moncton, building their dream retirement home. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Dona (Weaver) of Moncton and formerly of Penticton, BC. He is survived by his daughter, Winnie (Cliff) of Elliot Lake; son, Scot (Tamela) of Labrador City; stepson, John (Angela) and grandchildren, Mikel, Keyno, Linda, Lee and Elizabeth. Bill will be missed by brothers, Raymond Nicolle, Fort McMurray, James Nicolle (Bonnie), Salisbury and sister, Colleen (Nicolle) Hay, Turtle Creek. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. In accordance with Bill’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date. Condolences to his family members and a prayer of thanksgiving for Bill’s life would be welcome. The family is grateful for the wonderful care Bill received during his time at The Moncton Hospital. Bill’s wife, Dona, appreciated the kindness and compassion that she was shown while visiting Bill.
