RAOUL CORMIER

It is with great sadness that we
announce the passing of Raoul Cormier, 80, of Dieppe on Wednesday,
January 2nd, 2019.
He was the son of the late Tilmon
and the late Marie (née: Collette) Cormier of
Bouctouche.
Prior to retirement, Raoul had
worked at CN for 36 years. He was an avid hockey fan especially for
his Montreal Canadiens. He was a judge at the Champlain Raceway and a
very proud man that enjoyed family times at the cottage aux Fond de la
Baie in Bouctouche.
He is survived by four children:
Carole (Gilles) Richard, Daniel (Cindy Vick), Janice
(Alphée) Allain and Joanne (Guy Couturier); three
granddaughters: Mélanie Richard, Monica Richard (Mario
Landry) and Josée Poirier- (Josh) Dickinson; his sisters:
Georgine (Louis) LeBlanc, Bernice (Guy) Maillet, Béatrice
(late Jean) Allain; his brothers: Régis (Lucille) Cormier
and Ronald Cormier; several brothers and sisters-in-law as well as
many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife,
Bernadette (née: LeBlanc) and by his sister, Louisa
(Emilien) Thériault.
Visitation will be held at the
Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901) on
Friday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm.
A Celebration of the Word will be
held at the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January
5th, 2019 at 11 am.
Interment in the Chartersville
Funeral Home Columbarium, Dieppe.
Donations to the NB Heart and Stroke
Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be
appreciated by the family.
A special thank-you to Dr. Nadine
Roy who supported him during the years, Unit 4-A of the Dumont
Hospital and to the workers of Résidence-Moncton for the
excellent care and compassion given during the last few
years.
